IJSO 2017 – International Junior Science Olympiad

International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) – The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is an annual individual and team competition in the Natural Sciences for students who are under sixteen years old on 31st December of the competition year. IJSO has been established in recognition of the significance of the Natural Sciences in the general education of young people and in all aspects of their lives. It is a purely educational event.
Aims
  • To promote and reward the pursuit of excellence in scientific endeavour.
  • To challenge, stimulate and encourage gifted students to further develop their talents in Natural Sciences.
  • To create friendship and relationships among students around the world from an early age.
Notice regarding the IJSO 2017 competition in the Netherlands
The IJSO Competition in the Netherlands will be limited to a maximum of 50 participating countries due to the constraints of the organisation especially the hotel accommodation. Members are advised to register early to avoid disappointment via this IJSO website.

14th International Junior Science Olympiad – IJSO 2017

IJSO is held in the first week of December of every year, in different countries. Currently, around 50 member countries participate per annum.
Another important objective of the Olympiads is for young people to experience different cultures and to bring about interactions between students from across the world. Thus, the Olympiads have a potential to promote global peace and understanding.
IJSO 2017 will be conducted on 3 Dec – 12 Dec 2017 at Netherlands
